Data Deletion
How to have your A2B account and everything in it deleted.
How to ask
- Email privacy@a2bph.com.
- Send it from the email address on your A2B account, where you have one. That is how the request is matched to the account.
- Say clearly that you want your A2B account and personal data deleted.
If you signed in with Facebook and A2B holds no email address for you, say so in the message — there may be nothing to match your request against, and you will be asked how to identify the account.
What is deleted
Your account is removed, and with it:
- your profile, display name and avatar
- your email address, phone number and sign-in methods, including a linked Facebook identity
- every Trip and Way you posted, including the exact coordinates held privately for them
- your saved places
- your vehicles and anything submitted for verification
- your connections with other travellers, and the messages you sent
- your ratings, reports, blocks and notifications
- every file you uploaded — avatars, vehicle photos, trip photos, verification documents and message attachments
Files are removed first and confirmed gone before the account itself is deleted, so a request that fails part way leaves your account intact rather than half emptied.
What is not deleted
A message you sent is deleted with your account. A message another traveller sent to you is theirs, and stays in their own record of the conversation — deleting your account does not delete somebody else’s.
Where A2B has acted on a report about safety, the record that an action was taken remains, with the account it concerned removed from it.
Deletion is permanent
There is no recovery afterwards and no archived copy to restore from. If you want to keep anything, keep it before you write.
If you only want to stop being matched
You do not have to delete your account to stop appearing to other travellers. Turning off “Let matching providers offer me a Way” on a Trip removes it from provider-side matching immediately, and you can block an individual traveller at any time.
Questions
Anything about your data, including a request to see what A2B holds, goes to the same address: privacy@a2bph.com.
Deletion requests are handled by A2B directly. privacy@a2bph.com is the only address used for them.
